We are pleased to present what is believed to be the most accurate and complete recounting of Roue’s Carbonated Waters Ltd., a well-known Halifax business for seven decades (c1860-1929). It was founded by James Roue, father of William J. Roue, and where W.J. worked from his teens through his early 50s, concurrent with becoming Canada’s first naval architect.
This booklet covers the history of the business as well as the bottles and recipes that were used. It was created as a family history project so told from that perspective.
